Lash Lifts in O'Fallon, MO

What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a revolutionary procedure that can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare – a lash lift will last you 6-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint so you can leave your mascara behind.

Frequently Asked Questions

No! The Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor . Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for this procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

No, the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.

Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied.

No. Our stylists are trained to use proper lash lifting procedures to ensure your lashes won’t be damaged.

There are 2 ways to curl your lashes: physically and chemically. The physical approach is when you use a lash curler or heat to break the weak chemical bonds that make up the protein chains in your lashes. Physically curled lashes relax throughout the day and only last until your lashes get wet or come in contact with heat. Curling your lashes everyday with a lash curler can also break the outer protective sheath of the lashes and make them prone to breakage and look thinner.

The chemical approach, like a lash lift, alters the stronger chemical bonds (disulphide bonds) that make up your lashes and creates a permanent curl until the lashes fall off naturally. During a lash lift, a perm cream is used to break the disulfide bonds and allow keratin molecules to move freely and adjust to their new shape. Then a neutralizing cream is added to reverse the effect of the perm cream. New disulfide bonds form and the keratin molecules are locked into place with a new curled shape. The curl lasts for 6-8 weeks and this process is a healthier alternative for your lashes compared to clamping your lashes everyday with a lash curler.

Yes! A Lash Lift is enhanced when you use an eyelash growth product, such as RapidLash. While your lashes grow longer, our process controls straight or overly curly lashes by giving them a uniform lifted look. If added on, a black eyelash tint is applied during the treatment to enhance the look of your lashes.

A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.
A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.
Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.

Yes. However, we will ask you to remove them temporarily during the treatment as the eyes will be closed throughout.
Please consult your doctor if it is safe for you to get a lash lift and lay on your back or side for over an hour. Experts do not recommend pregnant women to lay on their backs during the second and third trimesters because the back position rests the entire weight of the growing uterus and baby on your intestines and vena cava (the main vein that carries blood back to the heart from your lower body).
Yes, but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
For the first 24 hours, use cold water to clean the eye area. After that, you can take hot showers, go to the sauna, and your lashes will be fine!
Gently, using mild products. Always wait 24 hours to do this, straight after the procedure.
No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.
As new lashes grow out of your eyelid, the curled parts of your lash lift get pushed out further. It’s the same concept as when you apply nail polish and watch it grow out in a few weeks. The exact same process happens with your lashes. Your lashes are constantly growing and shedding. Be sure to brush your lashes with a lash brush and use castor oil on your lashes everyday (it really works!). Use a lash serum to extend your lash cycle and schedule a lash lift every 6-8 weeks.
If you had a bad lash lift recently, it is best to reach out to the lash studio that gave you the service. This is because they’re familiar with the products and techniques they used on you and should know how to reverse or fix your lash lift. If you want to try a new place for a lash lift, it’s recommended to wait 6 – 8 weeks after getting your lash lift so your lashes can rest and grow out.
A lash lift enhances what you naturally have. Unfortunately, if you have gaps or shorter lashes on one eye, the imperfections will be more noticeable. For example, if you notice that the lashes on your right eye are much shorter than the left eye, we recommend waiting for your lashes to grow for a few more weeks before getting a lash lift.
We recommend waiting 2-3 months after getting a lash lift or have a lash lift reversal before you get lash extensions. A grown out lash lift has less surface area for a lash extension to attach to and could cause lash extensions to not last as long.
